Marilyn A. Miele, RPT, R-HYI
I am a 1979 graduate of Marquette University’s Physical Therapy program. Born and raised in RI, my career began in New England where I practiced in State Hospitals, nursing homes and outpatient clinics with orthopedic emphasis. My growing passion for utilizing a whole-body approach relocated me to Harrisburg PA in 1986 for a job opportunity enabling me to develop my manual skills and where I also served as clinical instructor. Eventually my path would lead me to southern York County in 1995. In 1998, I opened a small private practice in Stewartstown where I enjoyed utilizing and furthering my unique skill set to serve people of all ages with a variety of dysfunction. In addition, I became a yoga instructor/therapist and found that yoga married very well in my practice as a mind-body-spirit approach.
In 2012, I stepped out of my comfort zone to join a mission trip providing medical care to the impoverished people of Cusco, Peru. The experience was an eye-opener for me both personally and professionally.
Recently, I moved to the west York area where I am hoping to become more active in the community and church where my husband and I attend.
I joined Advantage Physical Therapy in June of 2018 and eagerly anticipate the development of new and innovative treatment programs. When not working, I enjoy working in my fairie garden, teaching yoga, ballroom dancing, cooking, bird watching and spending time with my husband Mark and my furry and feathered children (pug, 2 cats, parrot) as well as a handful of feral kitties outside (who always seem to find me).

More recently Ruby, our 2 year old sheltie mix, has entered into our lives and is now known as the diva of the family.
My passion for therapy, especially outpatient orthopedic, is partially due to my 13 year involvement in the sport of figure skating. I participated in local and regional competitions as well as volunteered with Special Olympics. I also enjoy staying active through my local gym participating in group classes such as Strong by Zumba.

So….I decided to leave my management position and join the Advantage team.
